League Rules

Official rules for Half Century Plus Softball — Cape Coral, FL.

The Half Century Plus Softball league follows standard slow-pitch softball rules with the following league-specific guidelines. All players are expected to play in the spirit of good sportsmanship.

Eligibility

Men must be 50 years of age or older to participate.
Women must be 45 years of age or older to participate.
All new players must complete a New Player Assessment before joining a team.
Players may participate as pool players if team rosters are full.

Game Schedule

Games are played on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30 PM.
All games are held at Cape Coral Sports Complex, 1410 Sports Blvd, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
Game times are subject to change — check announcements for updates.

Gameplay

The league plays co-ed slow-pitch softball.
Standard ASA/USA Softball slow-pitch rules apply unless superseded by league rules.
Each team must field a minimum of 8 players to avoid a forfeit.
Games consist of 7 innings or a 75-minute time limit, whichever comes first.
The home run rule and arc requirements follow current league guidelines.

Sportsmanship

All players, coaches, and spectators are expected to display good sportsmanship at all times.
Arguing with umpires is not permitted. Managers may calmly discuss calls.
Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in ejection from the game.
The league reserves the right to suspend or remove players for repeated violations.

Equipment

Players must wear appropriate athletic footwear. Metal cleats are not permitted.
Bats must be approved for use in slow-pitch softball (ASA/USA certified).
The league provides game balls. Players may use their own gloves and batting helmets.
